Quick Summary:
DC vs LSG: IPL 2025 (Match 4) was a total thriller! Ashutosh Sharma’s blazing 66 off 31 balls stole the show as DC chased down 209 in style. Nicholas Pooran’s 75 off 30 gave LSG a strong total, but DC held their nerve. A last-over finish, big hits, and pure drama—what a match!
If you missed DC vs LSG in IPL 2025, you missed one of the craziest games ever! This match had everything—early collapses, big-hitting madness, a dramatic finish, and a star-making performance from Ashutosh Sharma.
Chasing 210, Delhi Capitals looked completely down and out. But Ashutosh had other plans. The guy smashed 66 off just 31 balls and pulled off an insane last-over heist. This wasn’t just a win; it was a full-blown cricketing robbery!
DC vs LSG, IPL 2025: Ashutosh Sharma Turns the Game
Let’s rewind a bit. LSG batted first and absolutely hammered DC’s bowlers. Nicholas Pooran was on beast mode, slamming 75 off 30 balls, while Mitchell Marsh added 72 off 36.
At one point, DC must’ve been wondering if they’d mistakenly signed up to bowl in a T10 match. Starc did pick up three wickets, and Kuldeep Yadav bowled economically, but 209/8 still looked like a winning total for LSG.
Then came DC’s horror start. Three wickets gone for just seven runs. Yep, SEVEN!
At that moment, even the most die-hard DC fans probably switched channels to something less painful—maybe a nature documentary. But then came Vipraj Nigam and Ashutosh Sharma.
Nigam, a 20-year-old debutant, played like he had zero nerves, smacking 39 off 15 balls. His fearless hitting gave DC a tiny bit of hope. But once he got out, it was all on Ashutosh. And boy, did he deliver!
With 38 needed off 15 balls, Ashutosh went full beast mode. A couple of sixes, a four, and suddenly, DC was back in it. In the final over, with just one wicket left, he smashed a monster six to seal the win. Talk about holding your nerve!
DC vs LSG, IPL 2025: Twitter Erupts Over The Thriller
Now, if there’s one thing cricket fans love, it’s a last-over thriller. And when one happens, Twitter (or X, whatever you call it) explodes! “What A Match” started trending almost immediately. Fans couldn’t stop talking about Ashutosh’s epic innings. Here are some gems from social media:

And it wasn’t just his batting that grabbed eyeballs. Ashutosh’s switch-hit celebration after hitting the winning six was absolute gold. He celebrated like a boss, and even DC mentor Kevin Pietersen joined in the fun.
DC vs LSG, IPL 2025: Ashutosh Sharma’s Rise in IPL
If you don’t know much about Ashutosh Sharma, you do now! DC grabbed him for ₹3.8 crore in the 2025 auction, and after this knock, he’s looking like a bargain.
Last season, Punjab Kings let him go, and, well, that’s looking like a massive blunder now. He had already shown glimpses of his talent, scoring 189 runs in nine innings at a strike rate of 167.25. But this innings? This was next level.
Of course, cricket is a team game, and DC had other contributions too. Tristan Stubbs chipped in with 34, Faf du Plessis added 29, and skipper Axar Patel played a handy cameo of 22 off 11. But make no mistake—this was Ashutosh Sharma’s night.
LSG’s bowlers did try their best, with Shardul Thakur, Manimaran Siddharth, Digvesh Rathi, and Ravi Bishnoi all picking up two wickets each.
But when a batter is in the zone like Ashutosh was, there’s not much you can do except hope he mistimes one. Spoiler: He didn’t.
