Summary:
Md. Siraj’s fiery spell (3/19) rattled the Royals early, but Titans chased 170 with ease. Jos Buttler’s explosive 73* and Sudharsan’s solid 49 led the charge. Liam Livingstone’s 54 gave Royals hope, but their bowlers struggled. In the end, Titans won comfortably, proving once again why they are a powerhouse in the tournament.
Well, folks, IPL 2025 is heating up, and we just witnessed a cracking match between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. If you’re an RCB fan, you might want to look away because this one didn’t go your way.
Gujarat Titans absolutely dominated, securing an eight-wicket win. It was a night of heartbreak for RCB supporters, but GT fans? Oh, they’re partying hard.

RCB’s Batting Struggles and Siraj’s Magic
RCB had a night to forget. It started with Virat Kohli walking back early, and from there, things just went downhill. Devdutt Padikkal, Phil Salt, and Rajat Patidar all failed to fire. By the end of the powerplay, RCB were 42/4, and their fans were already biting their nails.
Just when it seemed like RCB would completely collapse, Liam Livingstone decided to show some fight. He played a gutsy knock of 54 off 40 balls, smacking five fours and three sixes. Jitesh Sharma chipped in with 33 off 21 balls, keeping RCB’s hopes alive.
But the real story was Mohammed Siraj. Playing against RCB in Bengaluru for the first time, he turned into their biggest nightmare. He bowled with precision, taking 3/19 in his spell, including key wickets of Phil Salt and Livingstone. Sai Kishore also played his part, picking up two wickets and keeping the pressure on.
Tim David provided a late boost, smashing 32 off 18 balls, helping RCB crawl to 169/8. But looking at GT’s batting lineup, it never seemed like enough.

Buttler’s Blitz and Sai Sudharsan’s Steady Hand
Chasing 170, Gujarat Titans started cautiously. Shubman Gill fell early for 14, and for a moment, RCB fans had hope. But then came Jos Buttler and Sai Sudharsan, and that hope quickly disappeared.
Sudharsan played the anchor role perfectly, scoring 49 off 36 balls, rotating the strike, and letting Buttler do the damage. And boy, did Buttler deliver! He smashed 73 off just 39 balls, playing all kinds of shots – scoops, flicks, pulls, you name it. The RCB bowlers looked clueless as he toyed with the field placements.
RCB had a brief opening when Sudharsan got out, but that’s when Sherfane Rutherford walked in and decided to join the fun. He scored a quick 30* off 18 balls, finishing the game in style. GT chased down the target in just 17.5 overs, leaving RCB wondering what just happened.
